reading up on some sightseeing tours(orang-utan centre, snorkelling trips, etc.) am a bit concerned to see "miniumum 2 persons", as a solo female traveller - should I be worried??

Hi. Getting quite excited carrying out a bit of pre-travel research. Have looked into some day and overnight tours in Malaysia (Orang-Utan centre, etc.) and am a bit concerned to see that a lot of them state min. 2 persons. Anyone had any experience of this? Of course, I fully expect to meet lots of new and interesting characters on my travels, but I don't want to leave anything to chance or worse-still miss out on key sightseeing opportunities because I am a solo traveller. They may possibly be referring to the entire group size for the tour. Often, tours would only go ahead if a certain sized group was reached.

I can see why you're unsure though - as I would have thought two people would not be an economical tour group size...

Malaysia has a lot of solo travellers though, so I wouldn't worry about missing anything.

Traveling in malaysia is easy, however it depands which state your in if your in Kuala Lumpur the best and cheapest way of getting around the city is by mono rail. if your in Sabah a local bus is cheapest and best however you need to really know your destination. Sandakan or the orang utan ctr has a few back packers around there and it a walking distance to the ctr. no need 2 person..however if you are planning to visit resort and all than a minimum of 2 will be charged. National park have dorms and cheap as well..if you need info and what kinda budget drop me a line. Reply to this
