It is really great to see a sense of enthusiasm and hope back in Bukit Lawang after the shocking flood (from a burst dam up high in the jungle) that washed away the whole Bukit Lawang village drowning over 300 of the inhabitants on Nov 2nd 2003.
Bukit Lawang is one special place in North Sumatra where I spent
5 weeks in Sept/Oct2006.
