As I said, we are two young females flying into Cancun- we don't speak Spanish and are looking for a safe town (preferrably with some surfing) with a nice beach. Any suggestions? Any suggestions for safe hotels/ cheap resorts in the area? Thanks.
Reply to this Hey Lauram not sure how cheap you can stay there but try Playa Del Carmen its just round the corner from Cancun and shares the Yucatan peninsular with its white beaches, blue seas and views out to the Caribbean.

Reply to this Playa Del Carmen is a similar to Cancun in that there is very few locals, if you want somewhere to party thats your place. If you want a quiet beach city, try Tulum. Or my favourite is on the pacific coast, a place called Huatulco, it is amazing and a favorite of the Mexican elite, rather than all American, Canadian and Europeans.
