I am going to Malaysia the last week of deptember and the 1st of october and I am so overwhelmed with so many nice places to go!!!
Is it good time weather wise to go to TIoman Or Perhentian Islands? I also want to go to Teman Negara, Cameron Highlands, Penang and KL...what do you think of taking the train for visiting all these? any special advice???

Thanks!!! 😊 Reply to this

wow! hold your reins! Generally, monsoon will hit East Malaysia from Oct - Apr. So Tioman, Taman Negara will be wet, wet, wet! i'm sure umbrellas are going for a song. From your description, you sound like an outdoor kind of person. If you can hit Taman Negara 1st part of Oct, you can probably make it. Try the 7D trekking trip, but make sure u are physically prepared. I feel that Cameron Highlands is a nice place to relax, soak in the cool mountainous weather/scenery - tons of budget accommodation. As for Penang, good beaches (quite similar to Phuket, Thailand). Try looking at accomm at Ferringhi beach - toursity but pleasant. KL: heavy traffic, good food, bargain hunting, Petronas Tower (twin towers), happening night scenes. I guess your itinerary should start from Singapore as it's is located south of Malaysia. It should look something like: Singapore by bus to JB (Johor Bahru), scout for buses/train to Jerantut, then into Taman Negara, then bus/train to KL, then flight to Penang. Try avoiding public holidays in Malaysia as hotels/transportation will be jammed packed! Reply to this

hi,
weather is hard to predict especially when you come to Taman Negara, the oldest tropical RAINforest in the world. for further info you can browse through www.tamannegara.org
