Where and how get the best, yet economical, vacation travel package/deal from USA to Europe?

Hello! I have a question for those whoever travel(ed) out of USA to Europe, not on business, but vacation. If you do/did, perhaps you can help me? I’m looking for a vacation trip deal for two adults, sometime during the period of late September or early October. We’ll be flying out of Philadelphia (or closest airport, such as Newark or JFK) and are looking for a good package that includes airfare and hotel stay for up to 7 days. We are in our 20’s and are price-sensitive. We’ll see the cities/countries on our own, and will plan the tours accordingly. But as of right now, we found a deal from Philadelphia International directly to Paris & Prague. (3 and 3 days in each, leaving on September 27th returning back to Philadelphia on October 4th. Two tickets: $1,932 (airfare and hotel, taxes included). We’ve never been to Europe, and could visit any two countries there if the price is right. Can we find something for $1,500 for two tickets, for up to 7 days (with air and hotel, and tax included)? With time, we plan on seeing the entire world - it’s just Europe for early fall.

Any advice on discounts, travel times, websites to direct links, or anything else would be much appreciated. You may already have the experience that for me is yet to come!

Thank you.
e-mail:

P.S. I did find the above price for two through TravelZoo, on EuropeanVacation:

Aside from usual Travelocity, Expedia, Priceline, etc., are there any others with significant discounts? We won't be traveling during any "peak" days or holidays.

Burda,

I own my own home based on-line travel agency. I would be more than happy to help research a good trip with the best price for you. I would appreciate you sending me an email with details, including which Paris airport you would like to land at. The dates you are looking at, etc..
You can email me (Gail) at hotrocktravel@cox.net. Reply to this

Hello, I currently am planning a vacation myself to Europe in about 7 months. Going to London, Paris and Rome and I live in the US, anyway I found a great deal through a company called goaheadtours.com everything is included like airfare, hotels, daily breakfasts, three dinners, tours and a few entrances to some attractions. Of course I still have to pay extra for stuff, for example, like going to the Louvre is extra and the Vatican. THe entire package is going to be just over $2000 (USD) and is for about 14 days. Not bad. But you might want to shop around several different places to be sure. There is also Perillo tours I heard of, but they only go to Italy. Anyway, good luck ! Reply to this

Also there is EF tours. I think their website is EFtours.com or EF.com (I dont remember!) they offer pretty good deals and its for people between 18-26 years of age and have excellent tour groups.

Also, on the goaheadtours.com if you are looking for something $1500 or less, they have packages to only one or two cities. Like there is a package to go to Venice for 8 days and its about $1300 or $1400 (I cant remember!) or there is one to Paris and Amsterdam thats around $1500 for 7 days. So you can find good deals, but you might only be able to stay in one or two cities because it starts becoming expensive if you add too many!! Ok good luck !! Reply to this
