Hello.
In a few months I want to get to India. I'm in Uganda now. I was hoping to find a cargo ship that will take me from Mombasa to India, maybe Mumbai. I'd be willing to work on the ship. If this isn't possible, I was thinking about flying to Dubai and then taking a dhow to India (either hitching a ride or working). Can anyone give me any insight into my possible wishful thinking? Would it be cheaper just to fly? Any help would be great!

Reply to this i dont think you will get a cargo vessel or dhow to travel from east africa to india, i am telling you this coz of my experience with ships and trade in this area, if you are planning to fly to dubai from east africa the same amount you can fly to india from east africa.

It was a long time ago, but you seem to know something about getting to India by boat. I'm planning a trip to India from Istanbul, and was wondering if you know anything about how I might get a boat from either Turkey or Dubai to India?
