I'm moving to France, thinking Montpellier would be ideal but need advice. Also, going there in a few weeks and want lodging suggestions.

I plan on moving to France soon (as soon as I get my visa) but have yet to figure out exactly where to go. I need advice!

I will be working for a company back home via internet out of my apartment so I am ok anywhere as long as there is high speed internet (so no little village in the Alps, though it sounds nice!). I'm looking for a place with friendly people (very important since i'm going alone, work alone in front of a computer, and do not want to be a hermit), young people (i'm 25), sunshine, decent access to transportation to travel around, and near mountains, water, or outdoor recreation of some sort. Bordeaux, Annecy, Aix, and Montpellier all sound tempting... Montpellier is winning right now... any suggestions are much appreciated!!

Also, I'm going to Montpellier in 3 weeks to check it out (and maybe another town or 2 on the way back to Paris). If anyone knows of a good, cheap place to stay there, let me know! Thanks!! Reply to this

Hi you want to move to Montpellier?
Here are some few links about this city in France:

Montpellier
Montpellier is the capital of the département of Hérault and of the Languedoc-Roussillon region. It is situated in a fertile plain about 7 miles from the Mediterranean coast.
