May anyone tell me how easier is to find an apartment to live in Calgary and what the good areas are? Thank you very much.

Hi Dan:

My son was born in Calgary and we were there again just last summer. The west side of the city is generally more affluent than the east. Best to look at apartments south and west of the downtown core, although the east side will be more affordable. You can try www.rentspot.com for Calgary rental listings. Good luck.

Bill & Sue,

Thank you very much for your response. I will definitely see the website. Your response helps me a lot since I have never been in Calgary so that I want to be familiar with the areas. Thank you again. I also see that you travel a lot. You have very nice photos. Best regards.

I dont know if this response is too late. I moved to Calgary last year to go to school. Bill and Sue are right - the west side is more affluent than the east. Please also note that the city is divided into quadrants - NW, NE, SW, SE that are important to make note of when writing down an address. The northeast is more affordable, however many people think of parts of that area as having an increased rate in crime. Its something to keep in mind.
I'm not sure how much apartments are going for these days, rates are comparable to Vancouver. You are most likely looking at at minimum of $1000 for a one-bedroom apartment. Reply to this
