Help with train travel between cities
17 years ago, April 26th 2007 No: 1 Msg: #13342
I'm planning a 3-week holiday to Spain from July 29 to Aug 19. I've never been to Europe before I'd like to visit these places in the following order:

1.) Madrid (4 days)
2.) Toledo (2 days)
3.) Valencia (3 days)
4.) Granada (3 days)
5.) Seville (3 days)
6.) Bilboa (2 days)
7.) Barcelona (4 days)

I'm having trouble figuring out and understandingt how to get from one city to the next by train. I've looked up train linfo on renfre.com and have drawn up some directions below

- Madrid to Toledo (destination)
- Toledo through Madrid to Valencia (destination)
- Valencia to Granada (destination)
- Seville through Madrid to Bilboa (destination)
- Bilboa to Barcelona (destination)

How do I get to my destination Seville from Granada? Are my directions above correct? Or is there a better way?

Thanks in advance Reply to this

Hi Marlene,
from Granada to Sevilla there is a train connection (3 hours) don't you think that maybe it' better start to Barcelona go to Valencia then Madrid (in Madrid I think it's easy find train to Toledo, Bilbao, Sevilla and Granada)? Here some tips about Barcelona and here for cheap accommodation have a nice trip!!! Reply to this

Hi Marlene, trains and buses can be difficult in spain and the language difficulties also. I prefer to drive but my wife doesnt like european roads, so i dont drive there either. However wefound this very nice english speaking guy who runs a city transfer service in Pamplona, Navarra,Spain and we used the for our trip from pamplona to Bilbao. check them out www.driverinspain.com Reply to this
