Hi,

You can get to Galapagos Airport from Quito or Guayaquil airports. Flights goes Quito-Guayaquil-Galapagos-Guayaquil-Quito. I went last year with www.adventureswithireach.com. They found me the perfect cruise, the one I dreamed of. It was perfect and we went to several places around. The most important thing is to know what are you most interested to see ex: the Galapagos tortoises are a must, and the ecuadorian penguins. So you should decide from that what islands are you willing to visit to meet this little guys. Most of the cruises offer 4, 5 and 8 days. An 8 day cruise is a more complete view of the Galapagos Islands. Don't hesitate to contact them if you have more questions. They are very helpful! Reply to this

Yes, some are cheaper all depends on the quality of the ship and their services. A ticket from Quito to Galapagos is around $400/person round-trip. The thing is that you need to buy the ticket from them so they will make all the confirmations between the boat and the flights. You can contact them and request them for a cheaper boat. I received last week a newsletter from them promoting a special price for the cruise, take a look at this link:

The air ticket from Quito costs a little under 400 USD. From Guayaquil its' a bit cheaper.

I recomand a 8 days cruise to se it all. If you want to be sure to se penguins, choose a cruise which goes to Isabela and/or Fernandinia.

Though, many people are satisfied with a 5 days cruise. You can also choose to stay in a hotel, and take daytrips to the islands around.

Bring insect repellent. There where plenty of moscitoes at some of the islands when I was there. Reply to this

In the Hotel Oro Verde in Guayaquil. Address is 9 de Octubre y Garcia Moreno ( next door to the u.s. embassy) - there is a travel agent office inside and the air ticket would cost $350. Reply to this

I will recommend you to go to the local airlines websites such as TAME, ICARO or Aerogal -- google them! they usually have great prices online. Reply to this
