Our annual celebration of how far we've collectively wandered during the past year
On 1st January 2017, I was in Guyana and then travelled on to Suriname, French Guiana, Brazil and Colombia before returning home to New Zealand. In April it was Thailand, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman and United Arab Emirates. In July it was Malaysia and the Maldives. In December it was England, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Belgium, France, Monaco, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria and we ended up in Venice, Italy on 31 December 2017. That's 24 different countries in the 12 months (19 for the first time). We then continued on to Greece and Turkey before returning to New Zealand.
Reply to this For me it was only Cuba this year. Although I traveled to the Adirondacks in upstate New York from nearby Montreal (Home) throughout the summer and fall though for camping and hiking. I hiked 19 high peaks over that time!
