When I first started traveling, I kept journals. They're mainly emotional trash, bemoaning my desperation to talk to another person after a week of being in a strange land and not speaking the language. It's better to have an audience.

This blog serves two purposes: to let friends and family know what I'm up to while on trips abroad and to give travel advice from th... full info

Thanks for the nomination and acknowledgement! I'm a teacher, so I always have 2-3 months to travel in the summer. My big trips always form organically, but some early options for next year include living in Ecuador or Honduras to become more fluent in Spanish, doing Southeast Asia properly, India and maybe a little Mongolia and/or Bhutan, or backpacking and camping in northern Europe.

I love this site because it allows us all to tell what we're doing or give advice simply for the purpose of exchanging data. Reply to this

All your proposed options for next year sound amazing! I look forward to seeing how your travels unfold... and now that you have five followers, your next blog (if at least 500 words with a minimum of four photos) will be featured on the front page 😊 Reply to this
