Do you have any potions, plans or secrets to stay healthy while traveling or before you take off?

I was re-reading everyone's ideas and suggestions and looks like we all follow the same basic rules. I agree with Ren it is best not to dwell on it because we would all get grossed out beyond belief. I do clean the airline tables but now I'll be adding the seat belts to the list. Thanks for the tip Karen. Reply to this

I always seem to get sick when I travel...nothing serious but always something upper respiratory...but if I start taking Airborne a couple of days before I leave and then take a dose every morning during the trip it gives my immune system the extra boost it needs to fight everything off. I'm careful about drinking the water, especially in certain places. We were very careful in Morocco but we did drink the tea and most of the people in our group got dysentery. I guess the water wasn't actually boiled? Thank goodness I had packed some Immodium tablets and chewable Pepto! I also watch my alcohol intake. Drinking depresses my immune system and I'm more likely to pick up a bug if I drink too much. I once got horrible flu in New York City. My husband and I stopped and had a few drinks our second night in the city and I had a fever for the rest of the trip. It was miserable! Reply to this

You've come to know your body and take appropriate precautions. On the NYC trip you were probably exposed to the flu on the plane or a couple of days before you left. No matter it negatively impacted your trip. Reply to this

I get such strange looks when I clean the tray tables on planes and trains 😊 Reply to this
