Best times to visit Barbados and the festivals there.

I have been thinking of visiting Barbados, it’s one of my dream places. But, I have heard that there is a specific time when you have to visit the place. There are a lot of festivals there, and that is the best time to visit Barbados. I googled to know more, and found an article on the best times to visit Barbados, <snip>, They have Crop over festival, reggae festival and so on. I wanted to know, has anyone been there during these festivals? How was your experience there ? Was is the best time to visit Barbados , and the best festival ?

Reply to this Barbados is one of my favorite Caribbean islands. I have been 5 times. It is hard to say "the best" time of year.
Year around the weather is warm and mild. It is south of the hurricane path so you don't really need to restrict yourself during hurricane season. There is an increase in visitors from November to April who are attempting to escape American winters.
You can scuba dive year around. Lots of hiking near Bathsheba and a beautiful drive on that side of the island.
If there is a a particular festival that interest you then you should go during that time.
One of our favorites is one of the smaller ones-- the flying fish festival. Lots of fresh fish on the grill.
New Year's is a celebratory affair. If you are looking for night life I would recommend Dec - March.
