I would like to visit some place for short trip say 2-3 days, within Schengen zone since my visa is valid only within Schengen (UK is out of question)
I stay in Rotterdam- the Netherlands ... my main intention is to witness spectacular autumn colors somewhere in Schengen Zone(suggestions incl. Locations in Netherlands are also welcome)
Thanks in advance

Many places in the UK are beautiful during Autumn.. the colours.. maybe Scotland is worth a visit? If the weather is good it's beautiful.. it's just a fairly large if..! (I still want to go, it's on the list) Reply to this

Having lived in Germany and Belgium for many years, I can't think of anywhere that the fall colors are as vivid as the northeaster USA. All I remember is that the fall is rainy and dismal in northern Europe. I stand to be corrected by other bloggers. Reply to this

Hi Milind,

About 2 weeks ago I was in Luxembourg and it was very green there, but I bet now autumn has kicked in, so it might be worth a visit. Towards the north part of the country they call it the Tour of petite suisse Luxembourgeoise (Mini Switzerland) and Vianden is definitely worth a visit. You could also visit Schengen whilst you're there too 😉

Best,

Traveling to Europe in the fall often means fewer crowds, shorter lines, idyllic weather and better deals – along with spectacular displays of autumn foliage.

Sweden is also good. Reply to this

I agree with fewleh, Scotland is a good place. Scotland has a perfect combination of scenic nature, rich in culture and tradition. Reply to this
