This is the Horseshoe Bend just outside the city of Page, Arizona.
Here the Colorado River makes a turn and forms this spectacular figure.
A short walk from the highway leads to a viewpoint where one can get close to the edge for a great view - just don't fall down...!
The photo was taken during my great tour around America's National Parks.
For best lightning conditions I suggest to visiting this place during the morning hours.
