With Kish Island so accessible from Dubai, I am wondering whether anyone has been there recently. As it's the only visa-free Iranian destination, I am thinking of going there but am slightly put off by the UK Foreign Office saying I shouldn't.
So, anyone been there recently?
I have been to Kish Island several times. It is a stunning island in the south of Iran. You can enjoy marine leisure and spending time with locals. I should admit that Kish is one of the super safe locations in Iran. Nationals of all countries are allowed to travel to free economic zones of Kish, Qeshm and Chabahar without a visa for stays of 14 days or less.
Also getting to Qeshm island is so handy from Kish island. Read about Qeshm attractions at https://1stquest.com/attractions/islands-of-qeshm--86

Well I went and it was great. Iranians are really the friendliest people in the world.
