Dear all!

If anyone can drop me a note, or many notes, about what to see, where and how to get work (on working holiday visa) and if any one else is going to be travelling and working around New Zealand from Spetember this year, please do get in touch.

Hey Ian, You'll get work in New Zealand on the holiday Visa; a few ideas...

Apple picking (out in Napier), grapes near Nelson... seasonal work there.
Bar work - in many of the hostels - also a reception shift in return for accommodation.
Wwoof-ing - is another option - willing workers on organic farms - usually food and accommodation in return for some work.

Mostly it will be low paid almost casual work. Your other options are dependent on your skills - most of the sort after skills in NZ are just the same as the UK...

What to see... everything 😊

Get out doing as many of the great walks as you can, try to plan them in advance as the huts get booked up, or if you have a more casual timescale - just get up early every day and go to the national park office for the cancellations.

Hope that helps a little
