Hello everyone, I just signed up to Travel Blog cause I'm searching for advices on a trip in Sicily. Has anyone experienced Sicily on a sailing holiday? I would travel alone so I'm a little worried... I've never been on a boat for days but I really love the sea and I heard that the water there is wonderful! plus, I don't know how dangerous could it be for a girl... All types of suggestion are welcomed
Looking forward to your comments!!
Mary
Reply to this I haven' t been on a sailing holiday in Sicily, so can't give advice in that respect.
I stayed Taormina Sicily which was lovely. Flew to Catania, then by road to Taormina. Stayed B&B at Pensione Swizera. Visited Etna which was amazing and very spiritual.
We were two girls together. Felt safe. Loved wandering around in the autumn sunshine.
Hope to return soon to visit Palermo, Stomboli and Vulcano.
Lots of great vino and vitals.
I bet the island will look fab from the sea. Emjoy
Reply to this Hi Mary,
As Linda said, Sicily is quite welcoming and safe island. Don't listen to all spaghetti & mandolino things 😊 😊
Regarding your holiday, I had a memorable holiday, sailing the Med with Intersailclub back in 2013. I think they're still doing that at some point in the summer (bring some sun cream, it's bloody hot!!)
They might be up of your street as you can also actually choose your travel companions.

Enjoy Italy (I'm jealous !)
