Is it safe to visit Nepal in June (monsoon season)?

I'm travelling between Chitwan and Kathmandu during June 2015. Is this safe considering the landslides and rain?

Hi, I'd like to know if anyone has traveled around Nepal during the month of June? I'm concerned about the landslides and rain as it's the start of the monsoon season. Is it safe travelling on the roads between Kathmandu and Chitwan? Reply to this

hello!!!!
I have been to Chitwan NP 2 years back during the monsoon and I didn't face any problem of any kind... Rather, roads were in very good condition particularly Privthi Highway (the highway which connects Kathmandu to Chitwan NP).. As far as Chitwan NP is concerned during monsoon, its a bliss.. The atmosphere is so refreshing.. Every inch is green.. You will locate many new plants coming in..Except walk around the NP and bird watching you can enjoy everything else like elephant safari, canoe ride, jeep drive, elephant bath, etc..There are ample of hotels and resorts..Just make sure you book hotel/resort before reaching there...
I hope my reply was of any use to you..... Reply to this
