Suggestions on a week long trip
9 years ago, November 13th 2014 No: 1 Msg: #186802
Hi guys I'm currently planning our next trip to Africa and wanted suggestions on the best trips and who to book with for a week split between Rwanda and Uganda.
We obviously want to see the gorillas for a number of days but also want to see/do other things too.
What would you suggest?
I've read that on some trips you can visit the Batwa Pygmies and walk the Batwa trail. I'd definitely like to do that if possible.
Also, seeing golden monkeys is high on my wish list.
We'd also like to go to the Bazaruto archipelago in Mozambique, any suggestions on where to stay?
Please help.
Thanks

Well, my first suggestion is 1 week is not enough time! ha ha Seriously though, you might want to concentrate on just Uganda, as you can go to the Biwindi to see the Gorillas and also see the golden monkeys and do the Batwa hike all at once. If you are thinking tour company, I've heard "The Pearl of Uganda" is pretty great for sustainable travel. Are you doing camping or lodging, and are you doing self drive? I really can't wait to return to Uganda and stay longer. I really loved it, especially the Jinja area. Reply to this
