Wildetrips They have not blogged since January but I'd like to get them on the list so when they blog again we can check them out. They are home schooling their kids and using the world as the classroom. They've been on some great field trips. What a life!"

We are a family of 5, traveling to see life outside of our own neighborhood. We plan to home school our kids and use travel to provide educational and fun field trips for our family (parents included). We enjoy traveling to places where we can see people living everyday lives and generally stay 'off the beaten path' as far as tourists go, but are always up for a popular Cheezburger dive or dessert find.

Thanks for the nomination! We just returned (as in still jet lagged) from a week-long extended family trip to Edinburgh and Stockholm and hope to have our next blog post up this week on that adventure. In the meantime, check out our recent reports on Lima, Peru as well.

We've had so much fun exposing our children to new cultures and life lessons. Our kids enjoy it, learn from it, and I encourage anyone who even has a long weekend to go somewhere unexpected - whether that is on a 'staycation' exploring your local downtown, at a community festival, or even a quick trip to South America on a last minute fare sale. And it really doesn't have to cost that much more than a trip to Disney or Sea World. Reply to this
