Have you ever been interested in having a guide to take you through the history and how people live in the country you are wanting to visit?

For many years now i have been considering the possibility of guiding people through the historical cities of Europe. Something which i am not a stranger to. My question to you is, does the idea of a personal guide appeal to you? if so what would you look for in this guide?
I know it is possibly a random question but i am pretty passionate about history and travel having recently completed an Advanced Higher course in the thing!
it would be great if you could let me know, many thanks

Not sure about the personal guide, but in Europe we always take the Free Walking Tour with the group and really enjoy it. What to look for - someone who is knowledgable and passionate about the place, and will do more than just take you in front of the famous buildings, someone who can show the hidden gems of the place. Personal guide can become a good companion, path finder for lonely travelers. They can take them through the best places and events in that place, which otherwise would have missed out by the traveler. The local cuisine, the custom, the culture and the emotional attachment involved in various places can easily be experienced through the personal guide. Only a passionate guide can provide you with the essence of travel.... Reply to this
