Cool, I love all the different ideas that everyone has on the different things to 'collect' on their trips. I used to collect postcards and fridge magnets on my travels, especially in Europe 😊
Reply to this I collect squished pennies for my nephew - he is up to several books now. I do magnets for my daughter - my husband made her framed metal boards as her dogs trying to steal them off her fridge. She probably has close to 200 or so.
Now me I like quirky things - all kinds of scraps and pieces and pictures for my mega scrapbooks. I have gotten a salt rock lamp in Colorado. A chainsaw carved bear in South Dakota. Oh and little unpolished rubies the kids got me ruby mining in North Carolina in the rain!
Reply to this I like it when I get gifts from the locals. Bits and pieces here and there. It makes me treasure the souvenir more when I could put a face to it.
Reply to this what a great subject:-) we collect wooden masks (they make for a beautiful display on the wall and take no space on shelves), magnets (again no space needed as they go on the fridge) and money notes (although a lot of them were stolen in Indonesia from us)...
Reply to this I have scrapbook. I collect during trip – train tickets, receipts, bank notes and a lot of photos.
