Considering travelling to New Zealand - where do I start with travelling to New Zealand in the first place.

Hi,

I'm considering travelling to New Zealand.

Australia tends to get a lot of attention travel-wise, and I don't know much about New Zealand (travel-wise, because like I said, Australia tends to get most of the travel attention - in my experience anyway).

So, I was wandering, what are popular things to do in New Zealand for a traveller/tourist?

Hi Fred,

Welcome to TB!

Most people come to NZ for outdoor activities, but we do have something for everyone. What time of year are you likely to be coming, what are you into, and will you be driving or using public transport? Reply to this

Hi Jo!

Thanks for replying!

I'm thinking of coming down during NZ's summer/warm months (which I think are December - February?).

One of the reason I'm looking into NZ is because I hear there's great scenery, so any scenery-based activities would be of interest.

But at the same time, I'm also a city/urban kind-of-guy so I'd like to do some urban based activities as well.

Not sure about how I'll travelling yet, probably by local/public transport. Reply to this
