Trains or buses

Hi everyone! I will be going to Kazakhstan this week and can't seem to find any schedules for trains or buses from Shymkent to Almaty

I wanted to pick the brains of some of you who have had experience traveling in the "stans" , Kazakhstan in particular. I have been trying to find schedules and an accurate price for buses and/or train services from Shymkent to Almaty as I have a flight to catch in Almaty next week and only will have a 5 day transit visa. Any information would be helpful!
