Worried about my boyfriend

Boyfriend is travelling in Cambodia and haven't had any contact

Hello, I would like some opinions on this please as I'm driving myself a little up the wall and having never been to Asia I don't really have much of an insight. My boyfriend left the UK four months ago with one other friend, initially going to Thailand and then on to Laos. In that time we have probably communicated on average about once every two weeks which has been really lovely, usually on Skype, but then there might be one little email or message or something in between. On top of that, I guess I have subconsciously been aware that he is okay through seeing the occasional activity on Facebook by either him or his friend, or seeing that he's on Skype or something - even if we're not directly talking. I am generally really chilled about the whole thing and in no way want to become a burden while he's travelling - I'm just thrilled whenever he does happen to get in touch. I last spoke to him 2 weeks ago and this was the day before they were going to Cambodia. He lost his bank card a while back and I have a new one to send out to him, in that last conversation he said he'd spoken to someone at a hostel in Cambodia that they were planning on being at in about 2 weeks and that he would be in touch ASAP to let me know the address of where to send it. Now since then I haven't heard a single thing from him - no emails, neither he or his friend have been on Skype or Facebook, and no messages at all. Now I would like to ask you whether you think I should be worried? I know 2 weeks isn't very long so if I'm being irrational then please tell me, but it just feels very different to how it has previously and I am so worried about them both. They are amazing people but are also very crazy and quite accident prone etc, so it's easy (and horrendous) to think that something has gone wrong. Is Cambodia particularly bad for internet? Are there any logical reasons why this could be happening? Any thoughts are welcome and thanks in advance Reply to this

Internet accessibility should not be a problem in the areas most tourists/backpackers visit. He could be off the beaten track. Being accident prone is not good in Cambodia, however. Hopefully, you have heard from your boyfriend by now; and when you do ask that he contact you on a regular basis so that you and his family don't worry. Perhaps he can use this blog to communicate. VNOIR please let us know if you have found him and he is safe.
As Bob said the internet can be sparse is some Cambodia locations.
Hopefully by now you've heard from him. Reply to this
