Im looking for someone that wants to join in a Silk road trip from Istanbul to Beijing. Start around early november.
Im 22 y.o. from Italy, travelled in China and Japan for a few months. Now id like to trip from Venezia to Istanbul via ferries and/or trains and then to Beijing overland. Visas are not that big issue actually. So from Istanbul to Cappadocia and South Anatolia (Mardin,Urfa...) - Iraqi Kurdistan - Iran (get a reference number for the visa in advance, so you can decide where to pick up quickly and hasslefree your visa) - Turkmenistan (i know how to get a transit visa with ease) - Uzbekistan (easy visa for EU) - Kyrgyzstan (visa-free) - China (will be funny to find a way to get in!)-. 4-5 months. Backpacking, hostels, couchsurfing, cheap transportation (why not hitchikink if needed or possible). Anyone want to join for the whole thing or just for a part of the trip????? Ciao ciao....

Sounds like a cool trip you have planned, I will be finishing up my gig in Uzbekistan around spring time and will be headed east into Kyrgyzstan and into western China (via Kashgar) stopping to see the wall of course on my towards Shanghai and Hongkong...Let me know what your time tables are
