Around the Baltic on a motorbike

I'm trying to get to know my surroundings better so a coastline-obedient trip is coming. Starting point is in Finland. Then Sweden, Denmark, Germany, Poland and the Baltic trio or duo. What NOT to miss on the Baltic coast? i'd really appreciate decent tips. Keywords for the trip could be scenery and people...

Hi, I know northern Sweden quite well and I would suggest the High Coast World Heritage site, with beautiful nature and pretty little fishing villages. If you have the time take the boat to Ulvon, you can do it in a day. It is very nice. Also stop at Skule mountain, there is an an information center and you can do short hikes in the forest if you like, there are good trails. Small Swedish towns are not so lively, but Umea is probably a good bet, as it is a university town. Further south Uppsala is a nice place to go too, with its university feel. It is not on the coast though, and you may want to drive on the minor roads in the Roslagen area and visit the small pretty towns of Oregrund and Osthammar. Stockholm has of course lot's to offer. Sounds like lots of fun! Reply to this

Thanks - the high coast region seems like a spellbinding drive-thru or a stopover. And I have to say that looking at the Roslagen-area's photos from Öregrund and Osthammar I'd be nuts not spend a night or two there. I guess with the smaller towns its more about the tmosphere than the yay? Reply to this
