Hi Øystein,

Welcome to TravelBlog.
I've moved your post to the General Travel forum as it will probably get seen by more people here. Looking forward to seeing the images you take! Reply to this

Hello Andre,

Sadly there is a great deal of poverty in the world to photograph. Heading to Asia you will find many examples of the photos you are looking to take but you can find it just as easy in New York City.

You can head to many parts of Europe, Africa, South America....well all continents.

If you are interested in heading to any specific part of the world we are happy to provide additional comments and suggestions.

There are the rural poor and the city poor. Most people only think of beggars in cities, but there are many away from areas where travellers rarely visit.

If one was to rank the poorest country by the number of beggars. India was easily the most, followed by Ethiopia. When travelling, always ask if you can take a photo - some communities believe that getting their photos taken is bad luck. Plus it is respectful to always ask.

When travelling to these places, take your time, get to know the people and the photos will come. You will find that the children will welcome you first, before the adults. Reply to this
