I am a 21 year old female from England and I have found a safe place to volunteer and live in Nairobi, Kenya. I volunteered in this orphanage for the month of November last year and enjoyed every minute but it would have been more fun if I was with a travel buddy. I will be in Kenya from March 25, 2013 - September 5, 2013 and if anyone would like to join me for the whole trip or just part of it I would love to have them come along. we can share all cost!
Reply to this What type of work does the volunteering involve, I guess just looking after and playing with kids??
Reply to this I was interested in volunteering elsewhere but I had trouble finding volunteer work that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg. So yes, the volunteer work will be at an orphanage but if you're able to find better volunteer work I still have very affordable safe housing and I have no real preference when it comes to volunteer work.

Hi
I have spoken to my wife and actually we don't have enough money to do volunteer work this summer. Sorry about that I thought our financial situation was a bit healthier.
I wish you luck in finding someone to share with.
Best Wishes
Mick
