Should i bother with Abel Tasman national park in June?

Should I make the effort to travel to New Zealands Abel Tasman park in winter? I want to kayak around the lagoons and so on, is it worth the effort if its winter? whats winter like in new zealand? unbearable? All help appreciated. Reply to this

I did most of the Abel Tasman track in early July last year. It was cold in the mornings, but t-shirt and shorts by the middle of the day. You will absolutely love it as you won't see more than half a dozen people all day. Best time of the year to go IMHO. Enjoy :-) Reply to this
