Central America to ...Cuba?

Knocking about the Caribbean, and the best way to get there from Central America.

Hey guys,

I’m hoping for a bit of advice. I am planning a trip for the end of the year starting in Colombia, working my way up through Central America, the Caribbean, back to Central America. Fly home from Mexico.

But what is the best way to get to the Caribbean from Central America?

It seems to me that flying from either Mexico City or Cancun into Cuba is the way to go.

Also, could anybody tell me what travel about the Caribbean is like, is it expensive, unreliable, slow? And should I avoid hurricane season at all costs?

Oh, I’m thinking Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic and Jamaica, possibly Puerto Rico.

Thanks!
