Question about an ambitious trip.
I am planning on traveling before going to college. Right now I have been working to raise money. I have come up with a travel idea that seems really fun to me, but I'm not sure if it would work. What I would like to do is around Feb-Mar, travel to Mongolia and buy two horses, and ride around the country to see some of the major locations. I would then cross over into western China, either by train or with the horses, and head south staying in inns. I would work my way down to Nepal and do some hiking in the mountains before finally heading to Kathmandu and flying home. Would this be feasible? If not, could you mention what would not work. If yes, could you please suggest some good guides I could hire, or any other good tips? Thanks!
Reply to this I suggest that you read about the trips taken by other Travelbloggers...just click on Asia, then Mongolia. A list of all blogs about Mongolia will be listed. You can contact those who have posted these blogs with any specific questions you may have by clivking on Private Message. However, I'm pretty sure the weather in Mongolia in Feb-March is very cold. And I'm sure that you will not be allowed to cross any border other than at established check points. Good luck.
