This week we were in a lovely hotel that had a telephone in the bathroom next to the toilet. These always make us laugh.
Ok, time for your confession. Have you ever used this telephone? Who did you call and were you using the toilet at the same time?
Dave was washing his hands when the phone rang so I made him answer it from the bathroom. It was the general manager calling to answer one of our questions.
Ok, so we have finally used the telephone in the bathroom.

Reply to this I have to admit they gross me out big time, but I can see that they would be good in an emergency. I've always wondered if the person on the other end would notice the 'echo' in the call 😊
Reply to this I've never had a telephone in my hotel bathroom, thank goodness, because I would be very reluctant to use it, except of course in an emergency!
Reply to this I always laugh at these too! With little kids who 'love' to use telephones we often unhook the handsets and put them up out of their way, but the ones in the toilet you cant...so are available for those calls to reception if the little ones press the right buttons lol!
Reply to this ha ha, we've stayed in a few hotels which had phones in the bathroom and I have always wondered who would use them... I mean really can't people wait!!!
I did think they'd be useful if you got stuck on the loo though but lets be honest who's ever actually done that! 😱
