Travel companions – love them or loathe them?

Do you have a preference for travelling alone or travelling with a companion?

I am more of a solo traveler, yet it doesn't hurt also if I'm traveling with someone or with few people. However sometimes it gets me into the position that I enjoy traveling alone for reasons that I can explore more of the beautiful places and enjoy the scenery without being dragged with someone constantly.

You can also meet new friends and along the way and communicate. Its more fun actually. Reply to this

I tend to do my trips alone. I love having the ability to be spontaneous, and change the itenerary on a moments notice without worrying about coordinating schedules or interests. I've run into much fantastic stuff that way!

The need to be self-relaint travelling solo is both thrilling and scary. When I hiked in the Utah desert solo, the thought that I could die if I encountered something I couldn't handle was always in the back of my mind. On the other hand, I also found myself in breathtaking beautiful landscapes with no sound but my own breath.

In the end, its a tradeoff. If I decided to go somewhere where I wasn't comfortable with the travel infastructure or culture, I would definately want to be with someone or a group. Reply to this

For beach holidays: with good friends
Everything else: solo!

My photos are always 200% better when I'm alone. I can do what I want, when I want. You meet more local people and other travelers. You spend your money exactly how you want to. Reply to this

Sometimes its really nice to just be alone. But i think it's always more fun to have someone with you. Without some one who knows what it was like the experience just seems to fade. Reply to this

Sometimes its nice to travel alone. I especially like this when my main objective is to hike. However its much better with someone else. Because when it's all said and done its nice to have someone who knows what you went through. If it's just you I feel the memories tend to fade. Reply to this

The fading memories are an issue with solo travel. To combat it, I take thousands of photos and write blogs 😊 Reply to this

I think it is much better for us to travel with a companion. In order for us to enjoy each moment we are staying in our desired places.
