Have you ever been interviewed by the media about your trip, or some aspect of it?

This topic was inspired by,

One morning I was interviewed by a reporter. I was not really in a mood of giving an interview, since I always had to answer these questions. However, a few days later a guy on a moped told me that he has seen me in a newspaper. A shame that I didnt see the article...

Dozens of times, though not many on the road. Once occurred in India when I was at the Taj Mahal, and that appeared in the national newspaper. I also appeared in a regional paper in India (photo attached) which was not directly related to travel, but the presentation did discuss it. I was also interviewed by a newspaper in Kuala Lumpur when I attended MITBCA.

Finally, I've been interviewed many times either in a talk-back segment or as a travel segment (normally around 10 minutes) for my irregular appearances for ABC Radio in Australia, one of which is linked via my profile page. Reply to this

I'm not sure this is the kind of story you are looking for but this is all we have.

A few years ago Dave and I flew from California to Ohio for the Christmas holidays. Ohio was hit with horrible snow storm, our connecting flight was supposed to go from Chicago to Dayton, Ohio but instead we had they took us to Cincinnati as it was the only airport in Ohio remaining open. At 3am we were hanging out in baggage claim depressed because we were told there were no more rentals cars available and the interstate leading to Dayton was closed down.

A car pulls up and a girl heads out of baggage claim to get in. We looked at the tag on the car and realized they were from the town we were attempting to get to. The woman driving the car said the roads were passable and they would be happy to drive us home.

It was a wild ride.....she was a crazy driver! We kept our mouth shut as we were so grateful she gave us a ride home. She actually went about 20 miles out of her way to drop us off exactly where we were going. People are good and kind.

Anyway, the next morning, we went to the airport to pick up our luggage and the TV news was there interviewing people about snow and how it impacted our flights.

We told them about the kindness of strangers and how grateful we were that they gave us a ride home.

The funny thing was later that afternoon I had an appointment with my hairdresser. As soon as I walked in she said she had seen me on the news and was glad I had booked an appointment! It is not good to look like crap on the news.
