It is suggested within the post below that NOW is the time for a real bargain but what's your thoughts?
There is a lot of uncertainty about Greece over recent times, none moreso than now due to the possible collapse of the Euro there.
Is no the time that more people should be going?
the link above does suggest that now is a good time.

Reply to this I think it is fine to go to Greece. You just need to use common sense and not spend your time in areas like Odeon square where the trouble could find you.
I don't think the price will be that cheap. They might go down a bit, but I consider Greece an expensive European country. Last year when I was in Corfu people where always telling me there was way less people this year that the other.
That being said, Athens was full of tourist and it think it will be as full this summer.

Reply to this I went to the travel agency last week to seek information about Greece but the prices weren't really cheap... there were only good offers for Crete and Corfu for the month of June.

Reply to this Hello Mr HX and welcome to travel blog,
It is a great time to go to Greece. It is an amazing country and you must give it a go. The mainland is amazing and the islands are indescribable.
Santorini is a must do!
Reply to this I think that i can connect with all of the responses to date on this topic.
Yes, as Nick suggests, one should always apply common sense when we are travelling to foreign climes, but that stands with anywhere we travel.
Not sure about it been as busy this year as in past years though.
I have to agree with Angelica, i have also noticed that Greece hasn't been showing the bargains that i thought it may.
Maybe they are of the mind that instead of lowering their prices to tempt more visitors in, they will attempt to maximise what they can from the fewer people at the places that do have the visitors.
Open for debate i think!
And Dave & Merry Jo, hi, I don't think that anybody can dispute your comments.
