Afrika is my last continent and I\'m thinking of travelling across land from SA to Europe on my way home from Australia. Possibly July-December.
After a year on the road I\'m looking at heading home via a road trip in Afrika. Starting in South Afrika I\'m thinking of buying a motorbike and following the west coast - but I\'m open to ideas. I\'ve been told that it\'s very hard to cross some countries so maybe I\'ll only travel those I can get to and fly the rest of the way.
I don\'t know much about Afrika (I could probably find it on a map) and usually I wouldn\'t look at anything until I got there except to work out how much time/money to budget. If you are the type of person who likes to have a plan I don\'t have a problem with you doing that, though don\'t expect it to survive first contact with an interesting detour.
I\'m currently working in Oz (to pay for this roadtrip) and plan to leave mid-June to spend a couple of weeks in SA seeing friends and family. I\'d like to start the trip early/mid July and be in Europe by Christmas.
Aaron.
