What have been your trip climaxes? Post links to the blogs about them.

In retrospect, it is clear that this was the climax of my trip. It seemed as though I had traveled for days or indeed weeks and months to make it to this place, this panorama, and in everything to come later I would feel those reminiscent pangs that always accompany a return journey. Even though I didn't realize it at the time, this was my ultimate destination. This was where I had meant to go all along.

I am currently blogging about this trip, so I'll try to withhold any major spoilers, but...

My most recent trip to Indonesia was a 3-week epic journey spanning from Northern Sumatra to Bali and the Gili Islands over the holidays. Without a doubt the climax was spending New Year's Eve and the last few seconds of 2011 on a beach in Gili Trawangan, dancing to pounding club music and watching numerous fireworks pop over the islands of Gili T, Gili Meno, Gili Air, and Lombok. I'll remember that night forever. Reply to this

Definitely my recent trip to Bhutan, for its pristine beauty, culture and tradition. Highlight of that trip would have to be the climb to Tiger's Nest Monastery. Adrenaline Rush @Tiger's Nest in Bhutan
