Albuquerque Balloon Fest RV Parking

Need helpful practical advice on attending the Albuquerque Balloon Fest.

I am attending the Balloon fest in Albuquerque the weekend of October 7-9. I am planning on using the standard dry camping RV Park. Any advice or info that would be useful would be helpful. I have studied their web site and downloaded maps and regulations and notice that an approach on Alameda from the West would avoid most of the traffic that will be going to the regular parking lots. Their web site also assiduously avoids mentioning the prices for using the RV lots. I checked another souce and it showed $30 a night for dry camping but that was a dated post. Any current info or heads up on where I can look for more info. I intend to head that way from San Antonio on Monday or Tuesday so that I can get there in time to scout around a bit before the weekend. Reply to this

Done been there and done that. I need to figure out how to remove this forum post because it is no longer relevant. I actually overnight parked free in the Sandia Resorts casino across the interstate instead of being jammed hub to hub in the RV Park. I went by and checked out the "Standard" RV Park and I wouldn't stay there if it was free.
