There are 5 of us planning to go away for 3-4 nights over New Year in Europe. We have been to Paris and Istanbul but open to other suggestions. We ,well I ,must have a good fireworks display to enjoy whilst welcoming in the New Year.
Thanks in advance Reply to this

Hello Coral 😊

There are lots of fireworks for sure at midnight on New Years Eve in Germany and the Netherlands. They practically blow up every neighbourhood with them for a half hour from midnight New Years Eve.

I have been in both countries on various New Years Eves. The fireworks displays are not professionally run though, so you wouldnt see any fantastic patterns, but lots of chaotic bursts of colour. Try to have a high up balcony or roof to watch from for the best view, unless you want to be on the ground setting off a few fireworks of your own. They are generally available to buy in the shops, from a few days before New Years Eve.
