I'm going to spend a few weeks in France and the UK. Does anyone know if online TV like hulu.com is available in Europe?
Reply to this Hey mate,
not to sure why would be wishing to watch tv whilst in Europe but anyway 😊
I checked your link 'hulu.com' and it said can only be watch from the US (I am in sweden at the moment) but I am sure other websites let you watch them from here.. Streaming sites may be useful also.
Reply to this Hello Tim and welcome to the Forum!
The problem with online TV around the world is due to license agreements. This doesn't apply to news, but anything showing a sporting event, entertainment or any TV serial will encounter this restriction.
A show will be sold on the basis that the buying station will have the only source for that program, which means that any Internet options will not be available into that country or region.
I know that when travelling, I am able to update myself with current affairs shows from Australia on the ABC network through their website, but this only applies to content that would not be subject to license agreements.
On that basis, I think if you are trying to view anything that is not news-based (in other words anything subject to a license agreement) via a US website, you will be unsuccessful. So assume you can watch nothing whilst in Europe, and if you are able to, then that is a pleasant surprise!
Reply to this Thanks for your replies!
I got also some PM responses from other forum that the best way to deal with those country/region limitations is to use a VPN with Exclusive Tunneling which creates some internet channel from the US to Europe so you appear as if you are in the US actually wherever you are, so you can use all US country limited services.
What's surprising it all legal.
I'm testing a few Exclusive Tunneling providers. I will send an update once I reach any conclusion.
Reply to this Don't thinks so. As far as I remember it doesn't work. But that is from far back. In Europe use couchtuner or project free tv. If you are just interested in the news breakingnewsenglish offers great articles on events of today. I use it as my morning crossword puzzle.
Reply to this I don't think your shows are available in Europe though..
Reply to this I'm pretty sure with a VPN, you can watch anything you want. I'm in Peru where the Netflix are horrid. However, I got a VPN that cost $10/month and was able to sign up for the US Netflix and I'm sure I could have watched TV too. Anyone looking at your computer address thinks you're in the US. I also got a free VPN that works for three hours a day. Have fun!
Reply to this I don't know about this. But I think Streaming site can be help you.
Reply to this Not sure about this. But you can see any stuff online because if the internet is available there then i think no problem to watch online programs.
Reply to this Sure can..get a VPN!. i dont use it for TV though and use it mainly for my Pandora fix.
Gotta have my pandora when im travelling!!
Reply to this Yes you can watch it on your Laptop or PC by using VPN . It will unblock sites and online Tv programs of US in the UK or France. Study a little about it.
I totally agree with Gustavo here.
Reply to this Try filmom it's free and easy to find and the expats swear by it over here.
