Is six months to short?
17 years ago, December 12th 2006 No: 1 Msg: #9131
Hi!
I am planning a trip starting in Jamaica and continuing to mexico, through central America, flying from Costa Rica to Equador and travelling downwards through peru, chile, bolivia and ending up in Argentina. Then we are planning to start moving upwards and along the brasilian coastline, ending our trip in Recife, Pernambuco, Brasil.
Has anyone of you travelled this route (or similar)? We want to do everything we want to and not rush at all.

Do you think six months sounds reasonable?

Thanks,

That is some serious distance! For my style of travel, I feel like it would be a lot of moving around in not too long a time. Then again, I could probably spend 6 months easily in Bolivia alone. I did Argentina, Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Bolivia in 6 months and felt I didn't get to explore all of the regions I hoped to... Just my thoughts; others will probably say you will have plenty of time.

I agree with Poz, I think 6 months is not very long to cover the route you mention. When you are on the road for a while you find that you want to make diversions from the original plan. You want to have enough time to appreciate the places. Reply to this
