Where have you tried and enjoyed different types of alcohol around the world?

This is a great question and it brings back memories.

The Caribbean islands offer many delicious remedies concocted with rum.... light or dark rum depending on the drink. This first time I had one of these was in Barbados made with their famous Mount Gay Rum. I believe this is the oldest Rum in existence.

Now that we are living near Napa and Sonoma Valley's in California we are being exposed to many fine wines. We are amazed at how cheaply one can purchase wines out here in the grocery store and in the pharmacies. It is rather amazing ---they start at $1.99 bottle and go up. We've tasted a few nice bottles under $10. You can go to tasting's at the wineries and it is always easy to find a bottle you can't live without. They are generally more expensive in cost but it is a great deal of fun seeing what the winery has to offer.

One could spend their life traveling the US sampling the nice micro-brewed beers available. Reply to this

Speaking of! According to a recent article in the Washington Post, pulque was been found again , which of course begs the question for whom was it "lost" (Washington Post readers?) but I digress. Reply to this

I'm agree with you. Caipirinhas in Rio are the best, specially in Angra dos Reis, which is at 150 kilometers south from Rio, with more than 30 incredible, but I mean incredible beaches. Nothing better than turquoise water, white sand, and enjoy a delicious caipirinha in the shore of the sea. Unforgettable 😊

Not much of a drinker at all, and never liking beer, I was surprised to find I like Tusker, while in Kenya. Tried two more in Tanzania and didn't like them, and still don't like beer at home! Reply to this
