Thank you for the nomination. The shot was taken during the Venice carnival this year, on March 7th. The Old Dame was splashed with colors and textures of all kind. I was amazed by the readiness with which the "masks" posed for us. Some people probably don't know this but, if you ask politely, the masked people will pose whenever you want - leaning on a nearby wall, by the canal... I strongly recommend coming to Venice 1-2 days before the final event because it's not too crowded and one can take some really nice pictures. Thanks!!!

Michael&Faye, I just love your photos of Riga.
I have to say that some of these shots were taken by my husband and some by me (photo of the week, for example) - it wouldn't be fair to take all the credit... I'm glad you like the shots and will try to upload some more hoping you'll like them too.
