My boyfriend and i are planning a 3 week trip in july. We are undecided on where to go. We are in two minds between south America or Vietnam. As we only have three weeks we really want to make the most of our trip and would like to have it well planned out. Good weather, nice beaches and good fun are our main objectives! We dont mind roughing it a little. Can anyone please help us with our decision. We are also up for suggestions on other destinations.

Where are you starting out?
Three weeks will give you a good overview of Vietnam. If going to South America please remember you are south of the equator so you'll want to consider the temperatures. If you are going for three weeks you will want to select on country in South America rather than jump around.
Would you be interested in an island? There are many wonderful Caribbean islands to consider.
Mexico provides lots of nice beaches and plenty of fun.

Reply to this I lived in Asia for 3 years and nothing is more challenging, rewarding, and mind opening. I say you head to Vietnam. Not only do they have good food, it's also pretty cheap to get around and there is SO much to see there!
The main problem is going to be what kind of weather you would rather deal with. Vietnam in the summer is wicked hot. If you guys are going to be focused on the weather, I would say to seriously consider South America. The weather will be cooler.
What country are you considering in South America? I've heard amazing things about Chile.
Reply to this Depends from where you are starting from. If the States or Europe I would definately recomend Colombia. You could have a great adventure ,including white water rafting ,scuba diving ,visiting Carribean Islands and much more. If starting in Australia then the Sth Am airfares are very expensive ,especially for a 3 week trip.

i do a gree with some you guys here, Vietnam probaly good choice for 3 weeks holiday. Vietnam such a beautiful country, safe, freindly people, great tasty foods, a country own many premium beach, life clubs is great fun and cheap too.

Although you can have a really nice trip to South Argentina it's July - It will be winter, every thing will be close.
