The Dubai Events and promotions Establishment (DEPE) has announced date of Dubai shopping Festival
The Dubai Shopping Festival needs no introduction and is one the most anticipated international events in the country. The festival actually started in the year 1996 when its inaugural ceremony attracted about 1.6 million people from around the world. In a decade, the festival became a world event attracting 3.35 million in 2009. That same year the festival attracted 9.8 billion Dirham businesses making it the biggest shopping event. The dubai Events and pramotions Establishment (DEPE) has announced the dates of Dubai Shopping FEstival 2011 .Dubai shopping festival will be held for 32 days from january 20 to February 20 .The thirty two days long event will be full of dazzling brands, big bargains and a huge variety to choose from .The colorful during the festival include Jazz, music shows, cartoon shows, circus and dance shows. Participating countries in the DSF will be setting up their exhibitions in Global Village .The theme of the Dubai Shopping Festival is One World – One Family – One Festival. Dubai’s most famous, imported items like watches, perfumes, jewelry by leading world-renowned brands can be purchased at a discount of 5 % to 50 %. These tax free discounted rates are the Prime attraction of Dubai Shopping Festival. Also expect big prizes, raffles tickets, free gifts and bargain offers .

Reply to this I've never been much of a shopper but this festival sounds like it might be interesting to see. Wish I had the time to go. I hope some one will go and post what they saw....and bought.
