I live in Iraq and am traveling to Israel this summer on a US passport. Can I get a piece of paper stamped, do I need a second passport, and if I do, how difficult is it to get??
Reply to this It depends how you arrive in Israel, I have an Australian passport and arrived at the airport (in June 2010) and the lady at immigration suggested that I should have my boarding pass stamped - I didn't even have to ask. Just say that you are returning to Iraq, and if stamping of the boarding pass is not offered at that time, politely request that your boarding pass is stamped instead.
I believe if arriving by land (via Jordan) that you are more likely to get a stamp in your passport which will cause you all sorts of problems for future travel.
