How are awards determined...

I didn't know where to post this, but I wanted to say I like the awards thing you guys are doing now, Wanted to know how each is achieved?

The 'Blogger of the Week' and 'Hall of Fame' awards are given based on a combination of nomination by the members and choices of the moderators.
The other awards, photography, blogger, forum poster, comentator... are based on numbers. When you post a certain number of them, you get the first level of the award, then a certain number more gets you the second level.... There are 3 levels for the ones based on numbers.
There is also the 'Blogs of the Year' awards. You will see a thread asking members to nominate, on the list of Highlighted threads, at the moment. There isnt an award that goes on the Profile Pages for the winners, but we do keep a list of them on a Front Page thread for all of January, to give those blogs extra promotion.
The awards hopefully give extra appreciation and recognition to the types of members TravelBlog wants to attract and hold onto. 😊

You should have a forum poster award by now, and I should have a photography award. I am not sure why we have not received our awards, so I will report a possible fault to the devolpers.

Reply to this Maybe the awards all need to be given out rather than appear automatically. I am not sure, because we haven't had them long. Anyway, I will find out. 😊

Reply to this I found out what is happening with the awards now. A programe needs to be run periodically, which adds them. So, next time the programe is run, the missing awards will appear. 😊

Note: When bloggers are granted new awards, a message will appear on their news feed, in their Control Panels.

You have a photography award. The awards are towards the right, just above your latest blog on your Profile Page.
When you reach 100 posts, you will also get a Forum Poster Award.
